Another Levis Letdown

I think all Titans fans were hoping that last Sunday’s game against the Bears was just an anomaly. Leading 17-0, Will Levis all but gave the game away himself with his second half performance and eventual pick-6 leading to the Bears win.

That now doesnt look to be an anomaly. Levis found himself on the end of another multi-turnover game eventually leading to the Titans to an 0-2 start. Interceptions happen. They are a part of the game, and most fans understand their quarterback is bound to turn the ball over eventually. But handing the ball to your opponent in hopes to avoid a sack doesnt seem to be a great strategy.

This is the second straight week where Titans fans are wondering if this guy is ever going to get it. Even Coach Callahan couldn’t help himself with the: “What the f*ck are you doing?” as Will and the offense left the field after a turnover in the Jets red zone. Just take the sack (pause), and leave yourself an opportunity for three points.

I’m a Vols fan. I have become so well-educated on Will’s turnovers during my time watching him at Kentucky, I could get a PHD in “How Not to Protect a Football.” Lets just say I speak for the majority of Tennessee fans when I say we had no idea how this guy was projected as a 1st round pick in the 2023 draft. His stats at KY were pedestrian, and he was addicted to turning over the ball. When the Titans moved up in the second round of the 2023 draft to select Levis, I could feel all of my hopes and dreams quickly evacuating my body.

Besides having some solid physical attributes, I have no idea what Titans GM Ran Carthon was thinking. They say Denial is the first stage of grief, so I lied to myself. “I’m not a NFL GM, so what do I know? Maybe our coaches can develop him. Maybe they can get him to stop eating bananas with the peel on and maybe using mayonnaise as a coffee creamer isnt weird as shit?” Safe to say 17 months later, I have already catapulted myself right into acceptance that this guy stinks.

William Donovan Levis is not a good quarterback. At least he isnt right now, but I dont see that changing anytime soon.

I agree Coach Green. I agree. Fire up the 2025 NFL Draft QB Hot Board!
